My aunt Skip loved to be called Skip and didn't like "Shirley." But she had a robust sense of humor and I usually greeted her as "Shirley" at least once. She would ball up her little fist in playful threat. We don't get to choose our aunts, but I will ever love and cherish the memory of the one God chose for me. Paul Freeman

We have lost a great one here on earth, but God has drafted a first round pick to come home to him. Skip was always so nice, caring and had such a fun and positive outlook on life. She was a gift to us all will be missed.

We are so sorry for your loss. "Skip" was such an inspiration and testament to her faith. She was one of the finest women we have ever known..a wonderful friend and neighbor. Your lives are a testimony to the kind of mother and grandmother she was. She loved her family so much was so proud of you all. It is uplifting to think she and "Mac" are reunited and that we will see them again one day. God bless and comfort you her family and friends in this time of sorrow but know that heaven is rejoicing at her arrival.
