Dear Deborah, Mike and I are in sad disbelief of Joeys passing. He was a great friend to us and a wealth of knowledge of biking and everything else he did. He never did anything halfway. It's been years since I've hung out with Joey, but I knew him when we were growing up and he was always up for some fun and adventure. In the 70s, we built bikes & ramps and staked out trails to ride. I'm sorry we didn't stay in touch, but I see from all the posts that he kept his adventurous and genuine personality throughout his life. Cheers to you, Joey.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't remember a time in my life before I knew Joey. He was one of the kids in our group of families that went fishing at the lake together in the 60s. He was a genuinely nice guy, one who made an impact on everyone who knew him. Keeping his wife and sister in my prayers for comfort. I bet Joey's already searching out the best fishing spots in Heaven. Rest in Peace Joey.
