Justin and I were married in 1996 and we have 4 children. My children and I lost Justin to cancer in February of 2013. He was one of the most caring and giving people you'd ever meet. Besides raising our children, working at the funeral home has been the most fulfilling job I have ever had. To continue Justin and my dream of helping families in our area I have completed school to get my Funeral Directing License. Being family owned and operated we are able to help families in so many ways and our caring for them truly comes from the heart. Each one of our families is special to us and in a small way becomes part of our family here at the funeral home which makes me want to help them that much more. In 2018 I married David Alexander, another great man with a truly caring heart. He loves helping families and became a funeral director as well. We are honored and privileged to serve each of our families.

I graduated from Lorena High School in 1999 then received an Associates Degree from TSTC in mechanics. After a 9 year career as a truck driver I was certified as an EMT then went to work for S&W hospital as an ambulance attendant here in Temple. Being active in my community is very important to me. I have been a member of the Leroy Vol. Fire department since 1999 and have been the Assistant Chief for the last 5 years. I have also been active with West Vol. Ambulance Service since 2000. I still enjoy serving my community everyday by what I do.

As you can see by my last name of Arney as well, this is truly a family operated business. Years ago I would never have believed that my life would have taken the direction of working with families at the funeral home. But when I stop and think about it, it is very fitting. I have experienced loss in my life from parents to two of my children. I believe this has given me the ability to connect with our families in a special way. We try to provide a warm, comforting, home environment that we feel assists our families with the difficult decisions and burdens that they face.
