Dorothy Vlasta (Kott) Ellington, aged 81, died peaceful Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at a Temple care facility. She was born February 1, 1935 in Corn Hill, Texas to John Paul and Louise E. (Janosec) Kott.

Dorothy married William (Bill) Edwin Ellington on May 20, 1960 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Temple. She has been a resident of the Temple and Moody area for her entire life.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents John and Louise, one brother and one sister.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters Brenda McKenzie of Georgetown and Melissa Kent of Belton. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Bellwood Memorial Park pavilion in Temple with Dr. Romiro Pena officiating.

Public visiting hours for Dorothy will be Friday 8 AM to 5 PM at the funeral home.
