Virgie Vivian Moore, age 84, of Temple died on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on the 22nd day of December, 1932 to Yater and Ruby (Harper) Rogers in Miles, Texas.
Virgie married Thomas Ed “T.E.” Moore in Cleburne, Texas on July 18, 1952. She has been a resident of the Temple area since 1962. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend to many and leaves a legacy that will be passed down for generations to come.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas, her parents Yater and Ruby and three sons Rickey and Roger Moore as well as Elmer “Bubba” Rogers. Also preceding her in death are three brothers Will, Elmer and Harold Rogers and two sisters Betty Harper and May Dell Streath.
Virgie is survived by her son James Moore and her daughter Loretta Bartek both of Temple as well as 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Troy at 10:00 AM. The family will receive visitors at Virgie’s home from 6-8 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017.
