Federico “Freddy” Hernandez, age 63 of Belton died in a local hospital on March 8, 2018.
He was born in Temple, Texas on March 10, 1954 to Joaquin and Petra Hernandez.
Freddy married Christina Lopez on February 26, 2010 in Belton, Texas. He lived in Central Texas all his life and attended Temple High School.
When Freddy was not working as a carpenter you could find him on the Brazos River fishing or at a local dancehall dancing the night away..
Freddy is preceded in death by his parents - Joaquin and Petra Hernandez.
He is survived by his wife Christina Hernandez of Belton, 4 daughters – Audra Rios and husband Jerry of San Antonio, Lorrisa Longoria and husband Gerardo of Temple, Robin Gonzales of Belton and Kristi Ramirez and husband Jesse of Belton, 3 brothers – Philip Hernandez and Ricky Hernandez both of Temple, Woody Hernandez of Moody, 3 sisters - Dolores Contreras of Temple, Mary Fraga of Eddy, Rita Cruz of Pendleton, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 5:00-8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:00AM, burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
