Kenneth W. Gates, 82, died at his home in Moody on Sunday¸ Apr. 29.
Visitation with the family will be held at First United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 3rd, followed by the Memorial Service at 11 a.m.
Kenneth was a graduate of Hearne High School and Sam Houston State University. He moved to Moody from Waco in 1975 where he operated a florist for 28 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Z. S. Teague Masonic Lodge No. 568.
His survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jane; 2 children, Julie Gates of Weatherford and Randy Gates (Utahna) of Moody; 2 grandchildren, Jackie Jones (Joseph) of Lorena; Scott Gates (Jessie) of Great Bend, Kansas; two great-grand children, Tazzleigh and Tyson Jones of Lorena; and one sister, Vermel Bland of Rockdale.
